Introducing the Major, our new integrated carbon fiber handlebar/stem combo!

Recently we announced our intentions to launch an integrated handlebar/stem combo. In typical Predator form, they would feature carbon fiber construction with an expected weight of less than 400 grams, rock-solid stiffness and a retail price of $599. The problem was, we weren't sure what to call it.

Starting with a blog post on our website, we launched a contest on Facebook and received over 200 suggestions! Of those 200, our staff narrowed the list to ten and put up a poll on Facebook asking you guys, our customers, to vote on which one you liked the best. Thanks to all who participated! It was a lot of fun reading the suggestions. The contest winner was Izzy Cohan, who suggested the name Major.

Congrats to Izzy, and a thank you to all who participated!

Predator Art Bike Photoshoot

The modern bicycle is, in many senses, a form of kinetic art. But Predator owner Aram Goganian wanted to take it a step further. After a conversation with a friend, it was suggested that he commission an artist to do a one-off piece—with the bicycle frame playing the role of the canvas.

Predator designed and supplied the frame itself, with the artwork and photography done by Gregory Beylerian.

Don't worry, we haven't gone soft and frilly on you. Predator bicycles are still all about speed. However, there's nothing that says you can't look good while you're going fast!

Check out the Predator Art Bike gallery.
